Take a Break
Occasionally, we all feel frustration, guilt, fatigue, and isolation. Acknowledging this reality can be very healthy. Still, many of us have forgotten what it is like to take a break. In some instances, we have lost hope that anyone is willing or able to provide even occasional care to our loved-one/patient.
Respite care reduces the incidence of caregiver burnout and, over time can allow the care-receiver to live at home longer.
I will contact a family member or respite volunteer to provide some relief.
